We can always tell when February has arrived. The Sun returns! We need to open our greenhouses and uncover the crops from their frost cover, and we have started to irrigate as on a nice sunny day our greenhouses can reach over 20c even when the outside temperature maybe below 0. Our Arugula is making the best progress while the Lettuce Mix is not far behind. The Spinach is still at the first 2 leaves after germination, but with some more sunny days this will quickly change. We also have a lot of Spring onions at different stages in the greenhouses and will have Green Garlic ready closer to the end of March, as it is already 1″ out of the soil and making progress. Until March, we have more potatoes, onions and turnips. We expect to run out of Turnips in the next week or so, but have a good supply of Potatoes and Onions which will last till mid Spring and transition into Spring Onions and maybe some early early potatoes.
